This painting series is inspired by the vast skies and restless seas of The Holy Island of Lindisfarne, and by the old upturned boats in the harbour, their layered, peeling paint bearing witness to time and the endurance of the people on this Northumbrian coastline. The shoreline, the shifting light, the movement of water and air are testament to the raw energy of the natural world and its ability to inspire both turbulence and harmony.

Lindisfarne is a place I return to again and again for its elemental presence and quiet magic.
