This series was painted following a day out sketching with an artist friend living in the same village. It was a beautiful day and we were ostensibly admiring and sketching the scenery. However, I became drawn to roofs and eaves and the angles between one house and another. I sketched in brown and grey pastels and liked the effect so much this series was born in acrylics.
